LeanWell Clinic is a telehealth healthcare service. Medical care is provided by licensed healthcare professionals practicing within the scope of their licenses and applicable state and federal laws. Use of the LeanWell platform does not guarantee that a prescription or treatment will be appropriate or medically necessary for every patient.
Medical Evaluation & Prescriptions
All medications prescribed through LeanWell require an appropriate medical evaluation and are prescribed solely at the discretion of a licensed healthcare professional. Submission of a medical intake form, consultation request, or payment does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued.
Treatment decisions are individualized based on your medical history, current medications, symptoms, laboratory information when appropriate, and other clinical factors. Your healthcare provider may determine that a medication or treatment is not appropriate for you.
Prescription Medications
Use prescription medications only as directed by your healthcare provider and according to the medication’s prescribing information. Results and side effects vary by individual, and LeanWell does not guarantee any specific treatment outcome or amount of weight loss. LeanWell does not claim that any medication is appropriate for everyone or that treatment will produce a specific result.
Compounded Medications
When clinically appropriate and permitted by applicable law, a LeanWell healthcare provider may prescribe a compounded medication.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed. Compounded medications are not the same as FDA-approved generic medications and should not be represented as identical or equivalent to an FDA-approved product. Compounded medications may be prescribed when, in the professional judgment of the prescribing healthcare provider, an appropriate clinical need exists and applicable federal and state requirements are satisfied.
Compounded medications are prepared and dispensed by an independent, appropriately licensed pharmacy. LeanWell Clinic is not a compounding pharmacy and does not compound medications.
The specific compounding pharmacy, formulation, ingredients, strength, and other medication information will be provided as applicable to the patient and prescription.
FDA-Approved Medications
FDA-approved medications prescribed through LeanWell are prescribed according to the healthcare provider’s clinical judgment and applicable prescribing information. FDA approval of a medication does not mean that the medication is appropriate for every patient or that a particular treatment outcome is guaranteed.
No Guarantee of Results
Results differ for each individual. LeanWell does not guarantee weight loss, weight-loss maintenance, improved laboratory values, or any specific health outcome. Weight-management results can depend on many factors, including diet, physical activity, genetics, underlying medical conditions, medications, adherence to treatment, and other personal circumstances.
Telehealth Limitations
Telehealth may not be appropriate for every medical condition or circumstance. Your healthcare provider may recommend an in-person evaluation, laboratory testing, imaging, emergency care, or consultation with another healthcare professional when medically appropriate.
If you experience a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate in-person emergency medical care. LeanWell is not an emergency medical service.
Not a Substitute for Emergency Care
Information provided on the LeanWell website, including educational materials, articles, advertisements, and general health information, is for informational and educational purposes and is not a substitute for individualized medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Patient Responsibility
